Geography at Portland State University examines environmental studies, cultural studies, landscapes, urban and natural areas, and Geographic Information Science.

One of the participating

departments in the newly-created

School of the Environment, the Department of Geography provides students with the knowledge needed to better understand the relationships between human and natural systems.

 

 

 

Faculty research and teaching programs include local, regional, and international interests in

hydrology and water resources, Geographic Information Science, biogeography, sustainable development, urban environments, geographic education, land use analysis, and cultural ecology and landscapes.
